Will - Rottweiller mix
4 years   Male

Will is about 4 years old and appears to be a Rottweiler and lab mix with a touch of Chow perhaps! He is an awesome dog with people but can be aggressive with some dogs. We’ve listed him as a dog who should not be with children but older children (12 years and up) should be fine.

Cort - DSH orange and white tabby
2 years   Male

Cort is about 2-3 years old and does not know a stranger! He loves everybody and his favorite thing is to be cuddled! He has been neutered and has tested negative for feline leukemia, FIV and heart worm!

HILDA
8 years   Female

Hilda is one of our geriatric guests. She is at least 8 years old but seems to be in decent health for her age. Her owner passed away and his family took in some of his pets but were not able to take in all of them, so we have taken the remainder in. Though Hilda does not have the bulk of her life ahead of her, she will be a loving companion for a quieter household!

Trixie - Pointer/Pit mix
10 months   Female

Trixie is a female Pointer/Pit mix about 10 months old. She is a sweet girl who needs a little trainer but she’s very smart and willing to please. She can be easily motivated so would make a great agility, rally or disc dog candidate!!

Winston - Husky/Lab mix
5 years+/-   Male

Winston is a 5 year old male Husky mix, doesn’t know a stranger and is a real sweetie! He acts like he may be housebroken and is neutered as well as current on his vaccinations

BUDDY - Beagle mix red
2 years   Male

Buddy is a two-year-old Beagle/Lab mix. He is neutered and current on all his vaccinations including rabies. He has tested positive for heartworm, but he is already on treatment and doing very well. Buddy can be an active boy, but he will need to be kept as quiet as possible for a few more weeks during his treatment. He is definitely an alpha dog so he needs to be an only pet or at least be with dogs that don’t mind a “pushy companion!

Casey - Lab/Pit mix
2 years   Female

Casey is a large, leggy Lab/Pit mix girl about two years old. She needs to be an only pet and in a home with no children younger than about 12-14. She can be aggressive with other dogs (no cats, pocket pets etc.) and is very possessive of her food. (She came in terribly thin and even though we’ve put about 15 pounds on her, she is still thin!). It sounds like she’s not a great candidate but an experienced person who understands abused animals and has lots of patience will have their efforts rewarded with a loyal and loving pet.

Heidi - DSH
12 years   Female

Heidi is one of our geriatric guests. She is at least 12 years old but seems to be in decent health for her age. Her owner passed away and his family took in some of his pets but were not able to take in all of them, so we have taken the remainder in. Though Heidi does not have the bulk of her life ahead of her, she is will be a loving companion for a quieter household!

Moreno - choc lab x
3-4 years   Male

Moreno (Mo for short) is a chocolate lab mix about 3-4 years old. He has been altered, is current on all vaccinations and has tested negative for heartworm. He is a big, strong boy so he would be best with an experienced owner and older (10 years and up) children.

Regina - DSH
2 years   Female

Regina is a lovely, blue tortie cat that has been with us for a while. Regina has tested positive for feline leukemia so must be an “only cat” or go to a home with another feline leukemia cat. Regina is in our leukemia positive colony, so we know she gets along well with other cats. Also, Regina’s adoption fee along with all the other cats in our positive colony has been pre-paid by one of our generous donors!

Heath - DSH tabby
2 years   Male

Heath is another one of our handsome feline guests. He is about 18 months old with a lovely tabby coat. He is very toy oriented and can entertain himself for hours or join you on the couch for a good movie!

Bridger - Dalmatian/Boxer mix
1-2 years   Male

Bridger is a Dalmatian/Boxer mix about 1-2 years old. He loves to go for walks, snuggle on the couch and just enjoy being a dog!

Sherman - BIG DSH orange tabby
2-3 years   Male

SHERMAN
Sherman (as in the tank!) is a big boy but a real softie. We took him to an adoption event with 11 other cats. All were loose in the room and he was the star of the event! He was loved on by children and adults alike and enjoyed every minute of it! He’ll be a star in your home too!

Bruce - black lab mix
2 years   Male

Bruce is a young (1-2 years old) black lab mix. He probably needs to be an only pet and should be in a home with no children. We suspect he was abused in a former home since he is very wary of anyone he doesn’t know. He has become a great boy with us and most of our dog walkers, but he can still be very fearful with strangers. Bruce needs a new owner with enough experience to see past his fears and lack of confidence and enough patience to help him learn to trust again!

LILAC -
2 years   Female

Lilac is about two years old and came to the shelter with a litter of newborn kittens. She has raised her babies and they have all been adopted and are in their forever homes. Now it is Lilac’s turn. She has been spayed and is current on her vaccinations as well has tested negative for Feline leukemia, FIV and heart worm.

THOMAS - DSH orange tabby
5 years+/-   Male

Thomas is a very laid-back boy about 4-5 years old. He lives in a colony room with other cats and is current on his vaccinations, is altered and has tested negative for feline leukemia, FIV and heart worm.

TOBY - Cattle Dog/terrier mix
2 years   Male

Toby is a 2-year-old Cattle Dog/Terrier mix and is full of energy! He’s more of a medium size and would make a great rally/agility or disc dog prospect. He’s not good with cats and occasionally is not good with certain other dogs. But he has a bright mind and wants to please! He just needs someone to show him how!!
